Holy Ground is a journey into the mysteries of matter and the primordial dark, as a prayer and offering to the emerging temples on the planet. Each Holy Ground offering will be a unique expression, upwelling and co creation with the frequencies of the land with which we are journeying.
Holy Ground - Samothraki is a 7 day pilgrimage in the magical Greek Island of Samothraki. Exploring the mystical trails of the original Greek mystery Schools through waterfalls, forests, rivers, mountains, caves and trails and going deep into the earth codes of this holy land. A journey of deep listening, communion and revelation.
Each day we will be connecting with the primordial dark, and then a rhythm of coming together and spaciousness through sharing circles, land journeys, the mystery and shamanic rituals.
This offering is a living transmission of how to connect with and activate the sacred in land. A journey of working with the elements, and to understand, access and vibrate through the different portals in land, opening to the transpersonal and the primordial dark.
This journey is for people who are self responsible and have a level of embodiment, presence and experience in spiritual, shamanic, dark fields, and transformational spaces.

Musings from the land
We will journey within the backdrop of Samothraki, a powerful sacred island where the Goddess has been revered for millennium! The magical island of Samothraki has been home to original initiation rites of the Greek Mystery Schools, holding and guarding this precious energy in its mountains, waterfalls, caves, rivers and temples. The archetypal energies of the Gods and Goddesses are imbued and immanent in this holy land.
Samothraki – The Island of the Great Gods as it is known - is a magical, mysterious and enigmatic island in the northeastern part of the Aegean Sea. It is the island of the Saos or Fengari mountain and a place of fascinating natural beauty and mystical ambience, where ancient Greeks performed the rites and rituals of the Kaveiria Mysteries: to worship the Great Gods of the sky, nature and sea.
The wild natural beauty of Mountain Saos (meaning Moon) offers unique natural treasures, dense vegetation, abundant springs and numerous waterfalls. Brooks and streams that originate from mountain Saos, on their way to the sea often form waterfalls, as well as “vathres”, which resemble natural pools in the rocks and will surely entice you to dive into these potent waters. The island also offers thermal hot springs, pebbled beaches and rivers with countless plane trees. It's a place in which the veils are very thin.

Amit and the sacred land with which we will commune
We will find ourselves under the enchanting embrace of the land, overseen by the custodian, Amit.
This 1.5-hectare expanse boasts the presence of two rivers—one tranquil during the dry summers, the other flowing vigorously.
Nestled amidst a forest of oak and sycamore trees, remnants of an ancient era, it resides within a settlement steeped in mysteries of old.
For three years, the land has welcomed people seeking a deeper connection & learning of how to live more harmoniously in co-creation with the natural world.
Taking a pause from their regular life, travellers to the island have had the opportunity to listen in the depth of this forest dwelling and learn how to grow and live in intimacy with the world around them.
This vibrating land together with the nuanced frequency sensitivity inherent in Janine’s land work will offer a rare opportunity to commune intimately with this sacred ground. We will be the first group held on this land.
As guests, we will dwell in bell tents, cradled by comfortable bedding, attuning ourselves to the land's rhythms in both waking and dream states.
Our days will be filled with exploration, venturing into the island's diverse landscapes, yet every night, we will return to the embrace of our host, a land whose mysteries await our eager discovery.
Meet your Guide
JANINE MA-REE
Janine Ma-Ree has been facilitating transformational spaces for over 25 years and supports people to live a life of spiritual embodiment, shadow integration, wild innocence, radical love and an ecstatic resonance anchored in the primordial dark beyond polarity. She has a passion for the mysteries of matter, land activation, the shamanic and the path of the mystic.
Nine years ago Janine founded Red Earth Temple, a living temple of activated wild land. The land is her teacher, her muse and co creator. The 125 acres of Red Earth, combined with the womb canyon thru the centre, and the Wild Innocence of the untamed bush, create a potent shamanic field for deep immersion, ritual and session work.
Janine created the Shamanic Womb Journey, Ecstatic Menopause work and currently Holy Ground, is dark point holder at Highden Mystery School and the global Temple Trainings, former lead faculty ISTA, and creates/co creates other offerings as they emerge.
She draws on 30 years experience in wholistic health as a practitioner, facilitator and point holder of Spiritual Shamanic spaces and Mystery Schools as well as the many mentors, guides, teachers and experiences that she has been gifted on her life’s path.

We kindly request that you plan to arrive on Samothraki the day prior to our start date (on August 2nd) and spend a night there independently before joining us on the designated land site on August 3rd starting from 2 pm. Travelling to Samothraki may require sufficient time, and we want to ensure you're comfortably settled and rested before commencing our journey together.
